Taking full advantage of breathtaking views of the Lewis-Clark valley and the Snake River was the main influencing factor of the design of the home. The linear design of the home capitalizes on the views, the influencing factor in the layout of most every main room in the home.
The architectural design style is based on an Arts and Crafts style, with exposed beams and connections on interior and exterior details and careful attention to the proportions of other wood detailing throughout the home. Careful attention to interior detailing extended to stairways and railings, cabinetry and fireplace surround design.
The exterior finishes take full advantage of low maintenance materials. Pre-finished cement siding and trim, powder coated steel columns and railings provide a very durable finish to materials that historically have been constructed of wood.
